CLUB CREST

We have updated our Club crest to incorporate the words GAA & Camogie, replacing football & Hurling. This now reflects our philosophy of one Club, one De La Salle, incorporating our core twin values of ‘Respect for all people’ and ‘An inclusive community’.

CAMOGIE

Well done to our u10,s who hosted a blitz with teams from Ferrybank, Portlaw, Mount Sion & ourselves participating. Keep up the good work girls & mentors.

Well done to our club u14 white squad who battled all the way against a good Brickeys side, in the U14C Shield County Final. It was a very close second half but a game of goals for Brickeys that kept them comfortable & winners in a closer game than the score line reflects. Well done to all the squad, mentors, management team and parents, great to see fantastic support in SETU Arena.

Hard luck to our Junior squad who went down to Ballyduff upper, during the week. They will now play Clonea in their semi-final game on Sunday 24th September at 11am with venue tbc.

Well done to Niamh Murphy who refereed Saturday’s U14A Camogie County Final in SETU Arena.

Best wishes to our Senior girls play St Annes in the Senior Championship Semi Final on Saturday 23rd September at 2pm, in the SETU Arena.

Best Wishes to our U13 Hurlers who play Ballygunner in the Div 1 Cup Final Monday night 18/9/23 at 745pm in the SETU Arena. Beir Bua boys!

Hard Luck to our U15 Hurlers who went down to Mount Sion in the County Semi Final during the week, 2-11 to 2-15!

Well done to our Minor footballers who beat Roanmore over the weekend, in the Minor Div 3 Championship in Cleaboy. A slow scrappy unfocused first half saw us trailing by five points, 1-4 to 3-3 at half time. Resetting in the second half, using space combined with faster more accurate movement of the ball we edged our way back into the game, taking control & winning 6-6 to 3-7. Earlier in the week, we had beaten Gaultier away, with Gaultier having pulled five points ahead with an early goal but with some focused defending, good turnovers & two goals saw us right back in the game and a point up at half time. In the second half, great teamwork rate and support play into space saw us finishing 4-8 to 1-14. Well done lads.

Well done to our Intermediate footballers who beat Kill 1-07 to 0-09,having been level 0-04 each at half time.
