SENIOR CAMOGIE COUNTY CHAMPIONS

Well Done to our Senior girls & their management team on a 0-9 to Gailltir’s 0-8 County Final win. It's back-to-back wins for the Club as we dug deep against the wind in the second half to win by a point. Eight points for Player of the Match, Beth Carton and one for Captain Abby Flynn. Great solid performances all round in a very physical game. Hard Luck to Gaultier! There was a big turn out for the Cup returning to Gracedieu to begin the celebrations which saw the girls pose for a great 'Top of The Town' photo on the Bullpost, for day two!

Well done to all the girls that played the Go Game, at half time. Great work girls, you were all super guards of honour and supporters today. Fantastic to get to play on the full pitch in Walsh Park on the day our Senior Camogie team retained their County Champions title. Thank you to all the parents for getting the girls there.

Congrats to Beth Carton on a well-deserved Waterford Camogie Player of the Match, presented by Cathal Lowe of Arachas Insurance. We would like to thank Supermacs and Suir Engineering for their sponsorship towards our adult Senior squad costs. Head Of Finance Danny O Brien presented the cheque to our full back Courtney Healy Trainee Accountant with Suir Engineering.

The future of Waterford Camogie is very bright with an abundance of skilful players in all the clubs. Thank you and well done to Butlerstown for organising and to Dunhill for hosting. Thank you to the referees for giving up their morning and to all the parents for getting the girls there so early in a Sunday morning.

Well done to our U13 reds squad on a good win v Abbeyside & hard luck to our u13 white squad who lost out to Ballyduff Upper in games played on Saturday morning, before we all headed to Walsh Park.Well done also to our u15A Reds squad who had a good win v Lismore on Sunday morning in Cleaboy, 2-9 to 1-5.

U13 CAMOGIE SKILLS CHAMPION

Congratulations to Katie Mullane who won the Waterford Camogie Under 13 skills competition on Sunday. GAA

Congrats to Oliver Hutchinson, u8 hurler of the week. Keep up the practice at home boys, great improvements all round.

Well done to our Minor Footballers who held on for a draw v St Pats, in a good game of football that they were well in control of until losing a player to a black card. At half time we were 1-2 to 0-3 up, finishing 2-5 to 1-8. Earlier in the week, the Minors had a great win over An Ghaelteacht 2-7 to 0- in Cleaboy. Our Intermediate footballers also had another good win v Bonmahon in the knockout stages finishing 4-12 to 2-6.

CONDOLENCES

The Club extends our sincerest condolences to the Connolly family on the passing of Ricky, wife of Paula (our camogie club Children’s Welfare Officer & committee member), his daughter Aoife (a member of our camogie minor & adult squads & also an u10 club coach) his mother Eileen, sisters & brother & extended family & friends. We express our deepest sympathy to them, at this sad & challenging time. Ricky was a great supporter of our camogie club over the years. May he rest in peace.
