CAMOGIE
A great season was had by our u14 White squad which culminated in being crowned Waterford Camogie County Champions in SETU Arena on Tuesday 23rd July 2024. All 22 girls have put in great effort this year with all in the club being extremely proud of their development and achievements. A big thanks to all the players, families & supporters who rearranged their plans to attend the refixed final and to the Waterford Camogie County board for pulling out all the stops to arrange this in a short space of time to ensure St Annes could play. Unfortunately, our captain Kate, Beth, Lexie and Isabella missed out on the final but all were key players throughout the campaign that helped get the squad to the County final. Well done to joint vice captains Sarah & Niamh who stepped up on the day and spurred their team on. Thank you also to SETU Arena Carriganore for providing the excellent facilities. Thanks to Kieran O Toole for officiating a great match, umpires and lines people who all contributed to a great game. St Annes were extremely worthy opponents, and it was unfortunate that there could only be one winner as both teams were deserving of being crowned champions. A big shout out must go to the Spanish students who both provided entertainment and were entertained by an enthralling match. Their allegiances swayed throughout the game, but they have gone home with a newly learned phrase of "Mup De Salle". To the young players on both De La Salle and St Annes a big well done for playing with all of your hearts in an electrifying All Ireland atmosphere. Our very young squad has come a long way this year and still have the u12 league & u13 championship to look forward to this year.
Well done on a great season girls, coaches, mentors, parents and club.

GAA
Hard Luck to our Minor Hurlers who went down 0-12 to Ballygunners 2-16 in the Minor Hurling Championship Div 1. Thanks to Match Sponsor Evode Kitchens.
It was by the narrowest of margins that our Senior Hurlers went down to Mount Sion in the Senior Hurling Championship Group Stage, 2-16 to 2-17. Reuben (1-8) and Eddie Meany got our goals whilst Jack Twomey put over 0-3 from play. Cormac Dawson 0-2, Eddie Barrett, Lorcan Dwyer and Thomas Douglas 0-1 each. A good performance, but our wides cost us on the day.
Hard Luck to our Junior B Hurlers who lost out 1-10 to Ballygunners 2-22 and a good performance by our Junior A Hurlers to beat St Mary’s East 1-16 to 0-9.
Well done to our U13A Hurlers on a good win over Abbeyside in Div 1.
In U12 Football Div 2, we had a goot win over St Pats in the League Div 2.

INTER COUNTY
Well done to Izzy, Lauren, Lexi, Libby, Lilly & Mia along with all their teammates on the Waterford Camogie u14 development squad who had a great day of camogie in Borrisoleigh Tipperary playing in the Orla McDonagh Division 3 intercounty blitz where they played Offaly, Kerry, Kildare & Carlow and came away with the Division 3 Shield title. Lexi and Lilly captained the side for the final. Well done girls and coaches.
