CAMOGIE
Well done to our fantastic u8 girls who participated in the Waterford Camogie monster blitz in SETU Arena and had great games against Clonea, Butlerstown, Mount Sion and Gailltír. All the girls had a brilliant morning of camogie. Thanks to Waterford Camogie for organising and to all the young whistlers for giving up their time. Keep up the great work girls and mentors. Thank you to all the girls’ supporters for encouraging them all year.
Well done to our super u10 girls too who also participated in the monster blitz and played against Ferrybank, Butlerstown, Mount Sion and St Annes. Great skills on display in all the games. Keep up the excellent work girls and mentors. Thanks again to all in Waterford Camogie for organising a great morning of camogie for all our girls.
Well done to both u15 squads on two excellent performances over the weekend. The Red squad have topped their group  after defeating Tramore 7-14 to 0-12 and will play who comes 2nd in group 1 (Butlerstown, Modeligo or Gailltír) in the cup semi-final at home on Sunday 13th October 2024. The White squad had a brilliant win away to Tallow. A super result and another first team in this division. Fantastic result girls! Round 3 is home to Brickey Rangers on Sunday 6th October. Thanks to all the parents for travelling down and Willie for looking after the girls.
Our very youthful junior camogie team put up a tremendous battle against a more experienced and physically stronger Abbeyside team in the Waterford Camogie Junior A county semi-final but in the end it was a deserved win for Abbeyside. Thanks to all the players for the effort they put in, in all the games and thanks also to all those who came to support us today. Well done everyone and best of luck to Abbeyside in the county final.
