€100 Loan

Dear Member/Supporter,

We are not sure if you are aware of the serious problems we are currently encountering at our club grounds in Gracedieu. In the space of one month we have been broken into on three separate occassions. In addition to the cost of repairing the damage caused we have had equipment to the value of €2,500 stolen. The GAA’s Insurance policy carries an excess of €4k so we will have to fully fund the replacement of the equipment ourselves.

If we do not make an attempt to address this problem it is only a matter of time before we find ourselves in more serious trouble and the cost could cripple us. As a result we have drawn up a security plan aimed at protecting our and your investment. This will involve strengthening the security on all our gates, doors etc, installing an alarm system, sensor lighting and security cameras.

However these plans come at a cost and at this present time we do not have the money to fund them. With this in mind we have decided to go back to you the members again and look for 50 people to give us a loan of €100. This income will allow us pay for the necessary work. Again, like before this €100 is strictly a loan and will be repaid within one year. Commencing at our first Lotto Draw in February 2018 we will pay back two people and continue to do so at each Draw until everyone is paid in full.
