Dinner Dance 2018

Don’t forget to collect and pay for your Dinner Dance tickets this Tuesday 6th February. Remember places are limited so please ensure you have paid and collected your tickets on or before this date. The night on Saturday 24th February should be another great social occasion with players of the year awards along with County and eastern medals for our three in a row U-21 county champions and eastern medals for our Junior B hurling champions.

Senior Hurling Championship

We are fixed to play our first round of the senior hurling championship against Fourmilewater on Saturday 31st March at 2.30pm. Round 2 against Tallow will take place on Sunday 8th April at 2pm. Both these games are in Fraher Field. Round 3 is earmarked for the weekend of 1st July.  

Eastern Championships

Our intermediate hurlers are in a group with Erins Own, Dunhill, Ballyduff Lower, Fenor and St. Mollerans. Both our intermediate footballers and junior B hurlers are in one group championships. In U-21 B football we have been drawn against Tramore in the semi final.

 National Hurling League

Hard luck to Derek McGrath, Kevin Moran, Shane McNulty, Jake Dillon, Mark Cooney, Fergal O'Brien and the Waterford senior hurlers who were defeated by Tipperary in Thurles last Saturday.

Lotto

There was no winner of our Lotto jackpot last Monday night and it now stands at €4,500. The next draw takes place on Monday 12th February. Numbers drawn were 3, 9, 11, 24. There were five winners of €20 each.

All Ireland Champions

Congratulations to Ardmore on being crowned All Ireland junior hurling champions in Croke Park last Sunday after a thrilling final. Well done to all involved.

U-8 - Weds 7th Feb 6-7pm Butler Hall. U-10 - Weds 7th Feb 7-8pm Butler Hall. U-12 & U-14 - Sat 10th Feb @ 11.30am Gracedieu.

U-16 & U-18 - Mon 5th Feb @ 8pm Crystal Centre. Adult Senior - Mon 12th Feb @ 8pm Crystal Centre.

Newcomers are always more than welcome to join in.

Our club girls Brianna O'Regan (goalie) Beth Carton (0-7) & Niamh Murphy were members of the Waterford Senior Camogie Squad who lost out to Kilkenny in Round 3 of the National League in a game played in Conahy Shamrocks GAA club on Sunday 4th Feb. Result: Kilkenny 1-14 Waterford 0-8.

Best of luck to the Ursuline Secondary Junior and Senior Schools Squads who are busy preparing for there All Ireland semi finals taking place later this month.
