Condolences from all in De La Salle GAA & Camogie Club to Fran, Margo and Charlie O'Çallaghan and family on the recent death of Fran's father Ned.

Fran is a very popular member of our Juvenile Committee and also manages our u9 hurlers while Charlie is one of our promising young players who also contributes to the club by coaching our u12 hurlers

Ned (Eddie) O'Callaghan The Orchard, Ferrybank, Waterford, and late of Pruntus, Ballyhea, Co. Cork

Who died on Saturday 16th May 2026, Aged 90 Years.


Peacefully in the tender care of his loving family and all the staff at Mooncoin Residential Care Centre, Predeceased by his son Ger, parents Charles and Kathleen, brothers Charles, Michael, Liam and Jerry. 

Ned will be sadly missed by his loving wife Phil (Née O'Neill), son Fran, daughters Orla and Carmel, daughter-in-law Margo, son-in-law Nigel, grandson Charlie, sisters-in-law Susan and Joan, nieces nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. 

Ned will be reposing in Power's Funeral Home Ferrybank on Monday 18th May, from 5.30pm until 7pm, Ned’s removal will take place on Tuesday 19th May to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12noon, after which Ned will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery..
