East Junior B Hurling Championship Quarter Final

De La Salle 4-20 Passage 1-8

Our junior hurlers qualified for a semi final place with a comprehensive win over Passage in Tramore last Saturday. We will now play either Mount Sion or Clonea in the semi final

Playing against the wind we began well leading 0-6 to 0-3 before an excellent goal from Passage levelled matters after ten minutes. We regained control with a Dan Casey goal three minutes later and a succession of points from Eamonn Fitzgerald and Adam O’Sullivan saw us lead 1-12 to 1-5 at half time. The third quarter saw us add four points to our opponents two before James Cotter set up Aidan Gannon for a goal in the 15th minute and a minute later Dan Casey did likewise for Eamonn Fitzgerald to find the net and we led 3-16 to 1-7. We added four further points to one from Passage and Lee Hayes hit our fourth goal in the 23rd minute as we finished convincing winners.
