- I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here
Last Thursday in the Reg Bar the club launched our major fundraiser for the year based on the TV show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. The show will take place in the Tower Hotel on Saturday 3rd November and is kindly sponsored by Hooper Dolan Insurances and Tile and Style. Twenty four contestants are scheduled to take part on the night and the full lineout has now been revealed.
Rose Madigan, John Mullane, Owen Dunphy, Majella Dunphy, Evan Whelan, Jake Dillon, David Sutton, Jade O’Reilly, Kevin Moran, Donal Carey, Thomas Kearney, Ryan Duke, Dejana Obradovic, David Greene, Eddie Mulligan, Vanessa Casey, Barry Murphy, Beth Carton, Shane Quinlan, Mark Cooney, Danielle Flynn, Shane McNulty, Dean Twomey, Bryan Phelan will all compete for the crown and we wish them all the best of luck.

The club are holding a fundraising table quiz next Thursday 11th October 9pm in the Cleaboy pub. Teams of 4 for €20. All welcome.

Senior Championship semi final
DLS 4-17 Lismore 2-8 in a game played in the WIT Sports Campus Carriganore on Sat 6th Oct.
Well done girls on a terrific team performance having trailed by 2 points at half time 2-4 to 0-8. The girls pushed on in the 2nd half to claim a spot for the first time ever in next weekends County Final.

Congrats to our club girl Beth Carton and her 3 Waterford team mares Lorraine Bray Niamh Rockett & Aine Lyng on there recent nominations for an All Star Award which will be announced on 3rd Nov.

Hard luck but well done to our 8 club girls who after lining out in our Senior Championship semi final made the journey straight away after our camogie game finished to New Inn Co. Tipperary to line out for Erins Own LGFA ladies Junior squad in their Munster Club semi final v Kilrush of Clare. The girls performed heroically throughout their second game with Kilrush equalising in the last few moments of normal time to force extra time. Kilrush ran out winners at the end of extra time. Maybe once again at National Level both associations might try come together to look at player welfare where girls are being asked to play 2 high profile games in such a short space of time on the same day.
