Mark Cooneys update....

In the second night of our wall ball league in Gracedieu last Thursday night, the players took advantage of some of the so called big guns taking a night off.

With Sean Treacy keeping his head in the books for the Christmas exams and Reuben Halloran decorating the Christmas tree for in Under The Clock coffee, who by the way sell an unbelievable cup of bean, the remaining players used it as an opportunity to turn up the heat on the league standings.

We got through 11 games with David Ryan going for the jugular early on with a 5-0 win over Conor Murphy in the first game of the night. Over the next hour or so the lads went at it hammer and thongs in some great games such as Conor O Shea v Kieran O Sullivan in a 4-3 classic as well as Ryan McCarthy v Daire O Keeffe.

At the moment it’s all to play for only time will tell who can hold their nerve to be Wall Ball King.
