U12 CAMOGIE

Well done to our U12B squad girls who played out a thrilling drawn game away to Clonea with 1-2 apiece. Well done to both teams on a good game. Great performances by our U12C Girls this week. In the first game v Mount Sion they battled all the way. Then huge improvements by everyone on display again the following night when we ran the Gaultier girls to the closest of margins. This great progress on skills and work rate is thanks to the fantastic coaching & mentoring of Siobhan, Dawn, Beth & Joey with all the U12 girls. It wouldn’t be possible without the support of parents and guardians, thank you. Keep up the great work at training girls.

U16 CAMOGIE

The U16 Girls, mentors & parents did us proud in the A County Semi Final in Portlaw, during the week. DLS 0-7 Portlaw 1-11

These girls have shown tremendous commitment over the season & left everything out on the pitch. This is a very young squad with only 1 of the starting 15 over age next year. INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

DLS 4-06 Bunmahon  4-13

Unfortunately our footballers went down this weekend but battled all the way. At 1st water break were a goal up and at half time the score was 3-2 to Bunmahon’s 1-4. The 2nd Water Break saw it level and in the last 15 minutes, the game went against us with a strong Bunmahon rally. Some great displays & scores with good goals by Sam Flynn, Shane Ryan, Eddie Meaney & Conor Mullane. Lee Hayes went on goal for an injured David Dennison to make a fantastic save & almost save Bunmahons last goal. Great campaign and effort lads, ye did the Club proud.
