INTER COUNTY
It will be a very proud day for the Club with five players in the panel for the All Ireland Final v Limerick. Best Wishes from all of us to Jake Dillon, Jack Fagan, Kevin Moran, Shane McNulty, Shaun O’ Brien and all the Waterford Senior Hurling panel and management team next Sunday. Ye’ll hear us all in Croker, we’ll be shouting so loud and we’re with you all the way in spirit. Beir Bua lads!
ALL IRELAND NOSTALGIA
Willie Hough – Captain, Limerick All-Ireland Champions 1918, the Waterford & DLS connection, Born Limerick, he furthered his education at De La Salle College Waterford which was a Teacher Training college at that time. Willie captained the DLS College team to their first County Senior Hurling success in 1913, DLS College 5-4 Ballyduff Upper 0-2. This feat was repeated in 1914. Willie came to the attention of the Waterford Senior Hurling selectors and lined out with the Déise hurlers in the Munster SHC of 1913. He played his first major game for Limerick senior hurlers in 1915 and his inter-county career extended until 1926. His Honours are; 2 All-Ireland SH medals 1918 & 1921, 3 Munster SHC medals 1918, 1921 & 1923, 1 Limerick SHC medal 1917 and 2 Waterford SHC medals with De La Salle College – 1913 & 1914. DLS GAA Club formed 1927.

All here at the Club would like to extend deepest sympathies to Dean & Jack Twomey on the death of their grandfather Hughie McGinley, RIP. Our condolences to Catherine & all the Twomey family. Hughie was often seen & met at Club games and leaves fond memories with us all. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
