THROWBACKS
On social media this week there were some great ‘On this Day’ throwbacks to three years ago and the three in a row U21 Hurling County Final v Abbeyside in poor condition at Dunhill where Shane Ryan Captain proudly received the Mansfield Cup the ever lovable John Mullane presenting Man of Match to Eddie Meaney, who scored a fantastic goal on the day. There was also a throwback to the WLR & Granville Hotel GAA Awards where Winner for 2018 was Beth Carton & The Kevin Casey Emerging Young GAA Player Award went to Abby Flynn. Two winners who also continue to do Club & County proud.
COUNTY
Best Wishes to Waterford Minor hurling and football management teams for 2021 but especially Ray Murphy, former DLS Manager. As an U-15 he was part of our panel that won the county minor hurling championship in 1989. Beir Bua Ray agus Deise Abu.
