INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY

A Happy International Womens Day to all girls and women involved in sport. Here in De La Salle we promote equality, inclusion and diversity and if you have a daughter or female at home who is interested in joining or trying out camogie with us, please email us at secretary.delasalle.waterford@camogie.ie or leave a message on any of our social media pages and we will get back to you ASAP.

COMMUNITY COMMITTEE

A new ‘Community Committee’ has been set up in the Club to review ways and means of establishing a club identity and community that has a sense of belonging in line with the twin De La Salle values of Respect for all and an Inclusive Community whilst promoting the GAA’s Vision ‘that everybody has the opportunity to be welcomed to take part in our games and culture, to participate fully, to grow and develop and to be inspired to keep a lifelong engagement with our Association’. The Committee will look at how best to develop a sense of togetherness between all people connected with the club namely adult players, juvenile players, parents, non-playing members, former players, supporters the greater De La Salle and local Gracedieu communities. The Committee members are Trevor Clooney, Ricky Grogan, Suzanne Wymberry, Deirdre Byrne, Fran O’ Callaghan, Beth Carton, Jake Dillon and Eddie Mulligan who look forward to hearing all your ideas and input in due course.

CONDOLENCES

Deepest sympathies are extended to two of our senior Camogie players. Keeley Barry and her family on recent the death of her Grandfather Wally Barry, Rathgormack and to Megan O'Connor and her family who lost both her grandparents Pat and Nora O'Connor, Kilcummin, Killarney in the space of two days. Our thoughts are with both families at this sad challenging time. Ar dhei lámh Dé go raibh a n-aineamnacha
