RESULTS & FIXTURES

GAA;  Our U11 Hurlers had a good win over Erin’s Own in the City A League. In the U12A Hurling City League, we went down on Friday to a strong Ballygunner side unfortunately, but battled all the way with great skills on display. Our U15 Footballers had a good win against Deuglan Naofa in the Championship over the weekend. Well Done Lads.

CAMOGIE; Well done to our Senior Girls squad on a good win in their final group game in the league v Dungarvan during the week.  We now qualify for the Camogie Senior League Shield final v St. Anne’s on Wednesday 11/8/21 at 740pm in Ballyduff Lr GAA. Well done girls & management team.

A huge Congrats, Well Done & Thank you to Shaun O’ Brien, Shane McNulty, Jack Fagan, Kevin Moran, Jake Dillon and Thomas Douglas on a fantastic season with the Waterford Senior Hurling team that culminated in so much hurling entertainment to reach an All-Ireland Semi Final v Limerick. You have all done us so proud and we look forward now to an exciting senior hurling Championship campaign. Congrats also to Shaun O’ Brien who made last week’s GAA Hurling Team of the week for his Tipperary game performance.

Best Wishes to Conor Keane, Jack Twomey, Daniel Lawlor, Conor O’ Shea, Kieran Kennedy and all the Waterford Minor hurlers in this evening’s Minor Munster Hurling Final v Cork. Best Wishes to the Management Team also which includes Ray Murphy as Selector & Conan Watt on Equipment. #DeiseAbu

Congrats to the Waterford Camogie U16 Munster A Champions beating Clare 1-11 to 1-05. A huge well done to Maggie Gostl, Luda Mooney & Alannah McNulty (joint captain) who did us so proud representing their Club & County brilliantly once again.

DLS BABY

Last week Suzanne Wymberry from the Community Committee presented baby Olivia and the Jackson family with the De La Salle baby pack. We were delighted to welcome the family to Gracedieu, where daughter Bella-Logan plays Camogie with the U6s. Mam Olivia & Dad Ryan recently moved to Ireland from South Africa with work in an International Company choosing Waterford because of the close proximity to so many local amenities including the sea and the greenway. They are very complimentary of the quality of life enjoyed here in Waterford and we are delighted that they have chosen DLS for their daughter to play camogie and we look forward to Elijah starting football and hurling with us soon too. At six weeks, when presented with the pack, Olivia is our youngest baby to date and we look forward to when she joins us for Camogie at age 6. The DLS Baby Pack consists of a jersey, DLS Baby on Board Car Sticker and a Club Baby Card. Club members, if you have had a new arrival in 2021, we’d love to hear from you through the link on our website at delasallegaa.ie
