RESULTS GAA;

County Minor Hurling Division 1 Final, Ballygunner 0-15 De La Salle 0-10. Well Done to our Minor Hurlers on a fantastic County Final performance which saw them battle & fight all the way to the final whistle, with scars & bruises to prove it. We’re very proud of your campaign and performance. Great to see such large DLS support at the game. Huge thanks to the parents, Manager Mark Douglas, Coaches Paudi Brosnan, Lee Casey, Denis O’ Connor, Jake Dillon & Donny Lawlor on 1st Aid. Scorers Jack Twomey 0-09, JJ Cahill 0-1.

Eastern Junior B Hurling Final; DLS 1-11 Ballygunner 0-19. Although finishing with a score difference of 5 points, this was a very closely contested game with goal scoring opportunities if taken, would have seen a different result. Daire Tracey pulled off a great save in 1st half to prevent Ballygunner’s main goal scoring opportunity whilst Lorcan Dwyer through with keeper to beat, forced him to full of an unexpected super save. Stephen Jacob scored a nice goal just before half time, ensuring teams remained level at half time. The second half start saw Ballygunner pull ahead & stay ahead but we had a number opportunities to pull back level including a goal mouth scramble in the dying minutes that left Ballygunner managing to prevent & emerge to get their insurance point to go on & claim the title. A fantastic campaign lads that gave us great games. Huge well done & thank you to the players, panel & management team of Paudi Brosnan, Fergal O’ Brien, Johnny Walsh, Colm Maher and Physio Joe Kenny. Scorers; Stephen Jacob 1-0, David Ryan 0-6, Lorcan Dwyer 0-2, James Cotter, Chris Kong, Jack Hannon 0-1 each.

Hard Luck to our U13 Footballers who went down to Dungarvan in the Div 1 County Semi Final. Well done lads, a great campaign that did us very proud.
