COMMUNITY

The ‘GAA Healthy Clubs My Mind Matters’ challenge continues with Yoga on Sunday mornings and indoor soccer organised by Jake Dillon on Thursday evenings. Keep an eye on social media for some great photos and upcoming events including running, walking, rounders, Mamogie, indoor football and yoga. Remember, exercise is good for your  mental health with the added benefits of a chat and a cuppa. A huge well done to the Community Committee on this initiative.

St DOMINIC’S CREDIT UNION

A huge thanks to our Juvenile Club sponsor who also are very active in the community. Congrats to Club member and 2019 St Dominic’s Credit Union Scholarship Award winner, Seaghan Walsh, who picked up his third moiety of the award. Best Wishes for the year ahead back in College, Seaghan.

GAA;

Our Intermediate Footballers play Portlaw in the Championship Quarter Final on Fri 22/10/21 at 745pm in Carriganore. Hard Luck to our Minor Footballers who went down by the closest of margins in Div 3A Minor Football, 5-02 to An Ghaeltacht CLG 1-15. Going down 5 points to nil by first water break, the lads focused & got back into the game with some fine worked goals and were right in contention to the final whistle. Some great defending kept us in it & the lads will be disappointed at missed opportunities not to have won or levelled this game. Well Done Lads on a display that did the Club proud. Next outing for the Minors is v St Mollerans on Sunday 24/10/21 at 11am in Gracedieu.

CAMOGIE;

Best Wishes to our Senior girls in the Hooper Dolan County Championship Semi-finals on Saturday 30/10/21 v Tramore, in a double header at the WIT Arena.

Well done to some of our u10 girls who participated in the Waterford Camogie u10 Blitz over the weekend & played two excellent matches against Tramore & Clonea. The standard of camogie was extremely high and well done to all the participating clubs. Thank you to Waterford Camogie for a great morning.

Well done to our u13 whites squad who had a good win away to Ferrybank over the weekend. Next up Dungarvan at home next Sunday morning in Gracedieu.

Our u13 reds squad received a walkover and their next game in 2 weeks’ time. Keep up the good work girls & mentors.
