Intermediate Football Championship Quarter Final Result Portlaw 3-10 De la Salle 2-10. Unfortunately luck wasn’t with our Intermediate Footballers on Friday as they went down to Portlaw. There was little between the teams with it all level at first water break and remained close all the way. A Mullane penalty levelled the game with eight minutes remaining & a draw was a good prospect with 3 minutes to go but unfortunately an unlucky slip in defence resulted in a Portlaw goal, ultimately being the final difference between both teams. Well Done Lads & thanks for a great campaign. Our Minor footballers campaign is very much still alive & kicking. A good win v Stradbally in the first game & a defeat to An Gaeltacht by a solitary point had them focused for Sunday’s game v St Mollerans but unfortunately a walkover was given to us. We are now awaiting confirmation of standings as Stradbally beat An Gaeltacht. Some great shot’s from previous games by John O’ Neill are on our social media.
