Just a reminder that the Club Shop is open Saturday’s 1130am -1pm & Wednesday 6-7pm or you can shop online through the link on the Club Website. This week's Lotto Prizes are €4,750 for 4 numbers, 5 x Lucky Dip prizes of €20, 1 x €50 Club Shop or Online Voucher €50. COMMUNITY
The Community Committee are working on hosting a family day this summer in Gracedieu on 10th July 2022. To assist us ensuring that it turns out to be a great day for everyone, we need your help. We are looking for volunteers to work with the Committee to help organise the event. It won't involve a big investment of time and it's a great way to meet people in the Club and get involved. CAMOGIE
Well done to some of our u8 club girls who got to play at half time in Saturday's 'Go Games' in the Waterford v Dublin Senior Camogie Championship game in Walsh Park. The girls also got to cheer on their club u8 team mentor Beth Carton during the big game. Well done to all involved, keep up the good work and thanks to mentors Aoife Connolly and Niall Barry.
Our U14 Red Team girls had a good win v Gailtir B during the week. Huge Congrats to U14 Camogie players Kate Winkle & Shayla Condon who were a part of the Waterford U14 Football team that defeated Tyrone by a solitary point in the LGFA All Ireland U14 Silver Final in Abbotstown.Unfortunately our Minor girls went down to Portlaw in R4 during the week. Hard Luck to Brianna, Keeley, Abby and Beth who went down to Dublin in the Championship in a very close game but all girls playing well with Beth & Abby being our main scores.
GAA
Our U7s had a busy weekend with the College group having a very enjoyable visit to Mooncoin GAA & our Gracedieu group a fun filled but skilful training session. The U7 hurler of the week in Gracedieu is Jackson Grant & the College player of the week is Mason Hennessy, well done boys. Congrats to Darragh Flynn player of the week under 8 Gracedieu and to Fionn Murphy U8 player of the Week at DLS College. Keep up the good work boys.Congratulations to our u13 player Eoin Keane who represented the club and his school St Declans in the Waterford Primary Game at half time during the Waterford v Clare Hurling match in Ennis. Hope you enjoyed your special day Eoin and hopefully it won't be the last time we will see you in a white and blue jersey. Many of our U13 players can also be seen this week in the Cumann na mBunscol U13 Hurling Final when St Declan's v Ballygunner on Tuesday 24/5/22 with 12.30 pm throw in, in Walsh Park. Come along & voice your support.Our U15 Hurlers did the Club proud in Feile last Monday. going down narrowly to Mount Sion, drawing with Roanmore and drawing with Ballygunner. Well Done Lads!Well Done to Waterford Masters who drew against Kerry and to our own football master, Lee Hayes who played. Our Senior Hurlers had a 1-21 to 1-20 win over Abbeyside in the County League, well done lads. Well Done to Shaun O' Brien, Shane McNulty and Jack Fagan who played v Clare over the weekend but unfortunately a disappointing day for us all.
