CLUB LOTTO

Huge thanks to the team at J&J Cafe Restaurant, in the Hypermarket, for sponsoring our mystery prize for this week’s Club Lotto Draw. They’ve kindly given us a Lunch Voucher for 4 and are a fantastic family run restaurant within walking distance of the Club. CAMOGIE SENIOR LEAGUE CHAMPIONS


Congratulations to our Senior squad on winning the Waterford Camogie County Senior League title at Kill GAA by 2-9 to St. Annes 0-14. It was great this year to see so many of our club girls making their adult debuts, combining with some of our more experienced girls. A few weeks break now before we look forward to the adult championship games at the end of July. The Panel was Katie O Keeffe, Caoimhe Mulvaney, Taylor Healy, Siobhain Heylin, Sarah Heery, Megan O Connor, Isobel Boland, Courtney Healy (Capt), Chloe Dempsey, Abbie Mullane, Alannah McNulty, Niamh Power, Emily Galgey, Clare O Connell, Maggie Gostl, Alex Healy, Kayleigh Kirby, Elena Murphy, Emily O Mahony, Jessie Barry, Ella Holohan, Ciara Twomey, Luda Mooney, Gracie Atkins, Abbie Walsh, Mya Kelly, Layla French. The route to the final was; R1 Gailltir 3-8 DLS 1-4, R2 walkover v An Rinn, R3 DLS 2-5 Brickeys 1-5, R4 DLS 3-12 Butlerstown 1-4, Semi Final DLS 2-9 Cappoquin 0-14.

CAMOGIE 

Well done to everyone who participated in the Camogie Club fundraising sponsored walk down along the Greenway in glorious sunshine, last Wednesday evening. Many thanks to everyone who participated & enjoyed the refreshments back in the clubhouse, courtesy of the Community Committee, thank you. There's some great photos on social media if you missed them. 


Congrats to our u10 club girls who got to play at half time in the Junior Championship game Waterford v Mayo in the SETU Arena. Even though the heavens opened, the girls still enjoyed themselves & had great fun. Keep up the great work everyone.
Our U14A/B girls Red Squad had a great 2-5 to 1-2 win over Clonea during the week at home in Gracedieu, well done girls. 

Well done to our club girls Holly Ryan, Niamh Murphy, Lucy Hogan, Colette Hogan (injured) who have been representing the Waterford Camogie Junior squad recently with a good win v Mayo 2-5 to 0-10 at the weekend in the SETU Arena and was great to see so many Club supporters present shouting on the girls.

Congrats to Brianna O Regan, Keeley Corbett Barry, Abby Flynn & Beth Carton who lined out with the Waterford Camogie Senior Squad in a great 1-16 to 0-13 win v Tipperary in Thurles before the Munster Senior Hurling Final. Well done to our Club girls on great performances including super saves from Brianna, solid defensive performance from Keeley, super on field leadership from Beth with 0-8 scored and a powerful performance from Abby with great goal. 

Well done also to Aoibhe Waring who has been lining out with the Waterford LGFA Senior ladies' squad in recent months. Great to see so many girls representing their County over the last few months & we look forward to having them back to the club scene when County commitments conclude later in the year.Congratulations to our former club girl Sarah Sheehan on winning the U16 Carlow Poc Fada.

Well Done to our U7 boys who had a great day out in Glenmore for a blitz. Congrats also to U7 DLS college player of the week, Scott Hayes and to Liam Power, U8 player of the week Gracedieu group, keep up the good work boys. A special mention to Cillian Hayes, last week's player of week in De la Salle college group, keep up the good work Cillian.Our 13 hurlers play Ballygunner on Wednesday 8/6/22 at 7pm in Cleaboy in the Championship Group Stage, come along and support the boys! 


GRACEDIEU SCHEME

Great to see work underway in Gracedieu on the extension of our walkway from the Floodlit Training Pitch. We are currently working hard to complete the floodlit training pitch, the hurling wall, the walkway, facilities at Cleaboy & continue to ensure best Club facilities possible. If you are not a member of the Gracedieu Scheme, we’d like to ask you to consider & help us complete the development within an increasing budget due to International influences beyond our control.
