CAMOGIE
Well Done to our U12 White Squad on Winning the U12C Shield 5-03 (18) to Dungarvan 3-01 (10). In the U12A County Final, whilst was all square at half time, the second half saw the girls pull away and comprehensively win by 7-4 to Clonea’s 1-0. Hard Luck to Dungarvan & Clonea in both finals with great camogie displays.
A huge well done to the full U12 squads, teams, their coaches and mentors. Enjoy the celebrations, girls. Our u12 girls also had a great day last week participating in the Tesco Camán to Croker 2022 in Croke Park. A most enjoyable day that saw the girls play Cooley (Louth), Grenagh (Cork) and Knockavilla Donaskeigh (Tipperary).

Memories to last a lifetime for our girls, their coaches, mentors, and parents.
Hard luck to our u14 white squad who lost out to St Declan’s in the u14C shield semi-final on Thursday in Gracedieu. Best wishes to St Declan’s in the final. Well done and thanks to the girls, coaches, and mentors for all the hard work they have put in all year. Ye did us proud girls. A lot of this squad were part of the U12 finals this weekend & the u13 league is on the way, keep up the good work girls.
Well done to our club U14 girls Kate G, Kate W, Zoe and Jodie who were on duty with Waterford Camogie in the Orla McDonagh blitz in the Ragg Tipperary, playing against Tipperary, Kerry, Dublin and Cork. Also doing the Club proud on County duty were Lauren, Eva, Jayne & Eve in Laois over the weekend, well done girls. Our U14 Red Squad girls play Mondeligo in the A Quarter Final on Fri 28/8/22 at 630pm in Gracedieu. Congrats to our U16A Girls who play Tramore in the County Final in SETU Arena on Sunday 28/8/22. The U16 girls beat Mondeligo 3-11 to 1-1 in the semi final during the week.
Well Done to our Senior girls on a dominant performance v Cappoquin with Maggie Gostl scoring goals in each half. The final score in Cappoquin on Sunday morning was DLS 2-19 to Cappoquin’s 0-08. Well Done Girls.
GAA
Our Gracedieu U6s were in Mooncoin for a tournament over the weekend with a great day had by all. Well Done to the coaches, parents and mentors and a big thank you to Mooncoin for what was a great day.
Our College U7 squad had a great return to hurling after our summer break with a trip to Blackwater GAA club, Co.Wexford, over the weekend. On a glorious sunny morning we played 5 games with every player seeing plenty of game time. A great day with a fine group of boys who enjoyed themselves and behaved to a high standard on and off the field of play. Thank you, Blackwater GAA club, for hosting us and to the parents and family members for travelling in great numbers to support the team, buiochas.
Hard Luck to our U15 boys who went down 4-13 to 1-12 to Ballygunner last week, away. This week they are away to Ballyduff Upper at 7.15pm on Monday 22/8/22.
Well Done to Lee Hayes and the Waterford Masters Football Team who went out to Cavan in the Semi Final stage of the Gaelic Masters All Ireland Series, after a fantastic battle.
After a 4-14 to 1-8 defeat of Lismore, our Minor Hurlers play Mount Sion in the Championship Semi-Final in Walsh Park at 630pm on Wednesday 24/8/22. Check our social media for the link to buy tickets; Adults €5, U16s Free & must be purchased in advance!
Hard Luck to our Intermediate Hurlers who went down to Tramore in the East Waterford Quarter Final.
Well Done to our Senior Hurlers who stepped up a gear in the second half to beat Tallow in the Senior Hurling Championship & draw Dungarvan in the SHC Quarter Final. De la Salle 2-20 Tallow 0-14. After being level five times in the first half, the second half saw us take control and score 1-13 to Tallow’s four points. Scorers were Reuben 0-8, Eddie Barrett 1-2, Brian Cunningham 1-1, Cormac McCann, Jack Fagan & Eoin Madigan two points each, whilst Jake, Tom Moran and Tonto had one apiece.
The Quarter Final sees us play Dungarvan at 345pm on Saturday 27th August 2022 in Walsh Park.
