De La Salle GAA and Camogie Clubs Dinner Dance

Please note that all tickets for the inaugural joint dinner dance between the GAA and camogie clubs in the Granville Hotel on Saturday 18th February 2017 have now been booked out and must be collected and paid for this week. Any tickets not collected will go for re-sale on Monday the 16th January. Any queries contact either Rose Madigan, Alan Duke or Ricky Grogan.

County Duty

The new year began with Shane McNulty in fine form for the Waterford senior hurlers in the Munster league against Limerick and Stephen Dalton making his debut for the senior footballers in Clare in the McGrath cup.

Lotto

There was no winner of our Christmas Lotto jackpot and it now stands at €16,250. Numbers drawn were 9, 12, 14, 25. There were five winners of €20 each.

De La Salle Walking Group

Get fit and meet new friends for the new year with De La Salle walking group starting on Tuesday the 10th January from the clubhouse Gracedieu at 7.30pm. The walk will consist of a 30/40 minute walk at a pace to suit everyone. High viz vests will be supplied but a small torch would be recommended. Tea and refreshments afterwards.

Clubify

The club are now up and running on the Clubify app. Please check the home page of our website for details on how to register. This app will send live fixtures and results as well as newsletters and important club updates directly to your phone/tablet. Our thanks to Tommy Ryan once again for his work on this so please don’t delay and register today.

Condolences

We extend our deepest sympathy to the Fitzgerald family on the death of Eamonn senior’s mother Nora in County Limerick over the Christmas period. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sí.

Kevin Casey RIP

Last week saw the sad passing of WLRfm’s sports editor Kevin Casey. Kevin was a top class sports journalist who was always a pleasure to deal with. He was, as stated in the many tributes paid to him, an absolute gentleman. We extend our deepest sympathy to Kevin’s family and his work colleagues on their loss. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.

Volunteers Needed

Lasallain Projects are appealing for any interested people in volunteering to help construct a multi-purpose hall in Awo in Northern Ethiopia for the month of July. It will be a life changing experience.
