Senior Hurling Championship

At last Monday’s county board meeting we were drawn in a group with county champions Ballygunner, Dungarvan, Abbeyside, Ballyduff Upper and Tallow. We play Ballyduff Upper in the first round and then Dungarvan.

 

Eastern Championships

On Tuesday night at the eastern board meeting our intermediate footballers were drawn with St. Saviours, Dunhill, Tramore and John Mitchels. Top team in each group straight to semi finals, 2 v 3 criss cross for quarter finals with the last team from each group involved in the relegation play-off.
Our intermediate hurlers are grouped with Ferrybank, Clonea, Butlerstown, Erins Own. Top four from each group criss cross for the quarter finals with the last team from each group involved in the relegation play-off. Our junior hurlers were graded in the B championship again with Mount Sion, Erins Own, Passage, Portlaw and Kilmacthomas with the top four qualifying for the semi finals. Our U-21 footballers are also graded B and face a tough first round opener against St. Marys.

 

County Duty
Kevin Moran, Stephen Daniels Jake Dillon all saw action for the senior hurlers against Kerry in the Munster league in Dungarvan on Saturday.


Lotto
There was no winner of our Lotto jackpot last Monday night and it now stands at €16,750. The next draw takes place on Monday 6th February. Numbers drawn were 9, 16, 20, 29. There were five winners of €20 each.

GAA National Draw

The GAA National Draw takes place again this year and we need our members to support this to raise much needed funds. Ticket cost €10 each and can be purchased from Alan Duke or through any committee member. Tickets must be returned this week.


De La Salle Walking Group


De La Salle are moving it!! Get on the move with the club walk this and every Tuesday night at 7.30pm sharp from Gracedieu. Pace to suit everyone and refreshments served afterward in Club house. Cost €1.

Training schedules:
Weds 1st Feb, Venue: Butler Hall, Saint Johns Park, Waterford.
Under 5 & 6 years of age (2011 & 2012) 6-7pm. Under 7 & 8 years of age (2009 & 2010) 6-7pm.
Under 9 & 10 years of age (2007 & 2008) 7-8pm. Under 11 & 12 years of age (2005 & 2006) 7-8pm. Cost €3 per session.
Weds 1st Feb, Venue: Waterford Crystal Centre, Cork Road @ 6.45pm.
Under 13 & 14 (2003 & 2004). Under 15 (2002). Cost €3 per session.
Thurs 2nd Feb, Venue: De La alleS GAA Grounds, Gracedieu @ 6.50pm.
Under 16 (2001), Under 18 (2000 & 1999) & Adult Senior. Cost €3 per session.
Newcomers always more than welcome to join in.
