COMMUNITY
The Club, through a Community Committee initiative will be participating in a wellbeing challenge, via the MyLife App for the month of October. The challenge, will boost your mental wellbeing, whilst contributing to a great cause The Samaritans. The goal is to take 30 minutes per day for yourself, 5 days a week over 3 weeks and this hopefully inspire us to develop healthy and mindful habits. A number of walking, running, yoga, rounders and fun events currently being organised. There will also be an opportunity to win great prizes for you and De La Salle GAA & Camogie. The ‘GAA Healthy Clubs My Mind Matters’ challenge throws-in on October 10th, World Mental Health Day. Keep an eye on our social media for further updates.
The Club has also signed up for a great Waterford Council initiative, to do our bit helping to reduce single use plastic use at our Cleaboy & Gracedieu Grounds. Stay posted for further updates on actions.
We’ve got talented hurlers, football & Camogie players but we’ve also got a talented photographer. A big shout out & word of thanks to John O’Neill for all his voluntary coverage of Club games & the fantastic community & action shots shared throughout the Club.
